My daughter did an undergrad seminar on hair with @smschober.bsky.social at #UZH a couple years ago. The topic is fascinating and my daughter *loved* working with Sarah-Maria.

💯 Can recommend!

Come and feast your eyes on the whole* series at the Coalmine Café in Winterthur.

(*Up until the Reinharts sold their Suhrkamp shares in 2006.)

Photo shows a café with an enormous wall of books. Prominently featured in the shelves are the rainbow spines of Suhrkamp paperbacks, forming multiple rainbow spectra.

So-called #genAI means the abolition of the future through the proliferation of endless streams of stochastically rendered generic pasts. Having turned large parts of the cultural archive into training data, it now traps us in a foreverized pastness, a 24/7 nostalgia for a past that never existed

Glorious Titian panel at the Scoletto (little Scuola) at San Antonio Padua. Look carefully. It is sublime.

I learned *so* much working on this, and I think even Tod did.

We couldn't have done it without you all!

A post that allows me to give props to a wonderful book by one of the most innovative western historians of China, Jonathan Spence:

(If you get intrigues, libraries or buy from your preferred book source--the below is a reference, not a shopping recommendation.)

For us it was pears. 🍐 🍐 🍐 🍐 🍐

Our little pear tree, planted 10 years ago, is now so big that we can't reach the ones on top. Harvest further complicated by tree now being in the middle of the tortoise's pen. 🐢

Tomorrow off to buy one of these fruit pickers!
