🚨Report your NSF grant terminations! 🚨

We are starting to collect information on NSF grant terminations to create a shared resource as we have for NIH. The more information we collect, the more we can organize, advocate, and fight back! Please share widely!

the article also has a crucial detail: Starlink is NOT FedRAMP compliant. Verizon is.

this shouldn't even be a question to be plugging unvetted devices into safety-critical government networks. anyone who's ever suffered through FedRAMP knows exactly how much work goes into it. what an insult.
Of course, Ted Malaska has a whopping conflict of interest here.

He is both:
- a SpaceX employee (identifying himself as a "SpaceXer" on his Twitter/X profile),
&
- federal employee -- and important one at that --"leading an engineering unit inside the FAA."

Gotta say: even for an era in our politics that's pretty damn saturated with shocking news, the acceleration of WaPo's decline has been astonishing.

Wow. "NIH" canceled my co-mentored (with Dave Sulzer) PhD student's F31 funding. His work is on understanding the genetics and neuroscience of language learning disorders. F31 provides no indirect $ to Columbia, just pays his salary. Not that it should matter, but he's an American citizen. W.T.F.

We’ve tried to shelter our minds but tonight we’re preparing for the genocide of Science.

Entire NIH departments will have no leaders.

World renowned Scientists kicked to the curb without cause, & grants will loose their lead investigators.

Is this what they want?
Chaos? Destruction?
NIH ban on renewing senior scientists adds to assaults on its in-house research
Policy follows firings of tenure-track scientists and suspension of training programs

Call your senators to indicate they need to lift the ban on federal research,.

(fyi, when I said my zip code they said it wasn't found, so I then said my state and left a message for one senator and then called back for the other senator.

All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
