@bart.gov does the weight in a car affect how loud it is? Or does packing a car with people muffle the train sounds? Or is the westbound tube quieter for other reasons? The transbay was noticeably more earsplitting on a nearly empty Dublin-bound train just now than an earlier crowded SFO train.

@bart.gov what will it take to end ALL ear-splitting screeching on all stretches of all lines in all trains, so that you stop damaging your customers' hearing every day? From Lake Merrit to 12th St, and again leaving 19th St. just now was painful as usual. You're causing hearing loss!!!

One of the worst things about Hayward, California is it's horribly designed intersections, especially how some lights are on 4-5 minute cycles. You have to leave 10 minutes early just to make sure you're not late in case you hit a couple of lights.

@bart.gov is there a timetable for when Hayward's new bike fare-gate will be working again? It's been closed, presumably for maintenance for over a week now.

@berkeleyside.bsky.social what's up with the sudden Thai/Burmese restaurant closings, with no explanations? Tuk Tuk was such a mainstay, esp. for late nights. And Royal Rangoon and that Thai restaurant on north Shattuck both changing hands? Is this an immigration enforcement / fear thing?

@nws.noaa.gov light rain that doesn't show up on radar really messes up a commute. Especially for those of us who bike but would've found other transit IF WE NEW IT WAS RAINING!!

@bart.gov you might want to tell the driver of the Berryessa train now approaching San Leandro to reset the scrolling "next station" signs. In at least 3 cars they say "this train is going out of service, all passengers must exit...". I'm in car 4028Y

@bart.gov when will you finally put an end to the ear-splitting high-pitch screeching??! You are damaging the hearing of hundreds of people on every train that approaches 19th St. from MacArthur or every Richmond-Berryessa train between 12 St. and Lake Merritt.
