On November 22nd, the planet hit 1.81°C above the 1850-1900 pre-industrial baseline, making it the warmest November 22nd on record, and likely the warmest November 22nd in the last 120,000 years.

Hot times ahead.

Strange times when you find yourself figuratively applauding Marjorie Taylor Greene for picking a fight with Trump. The woman practically embodies the MAGA mindset in motion. Are we watching the implosion of the MAGA regime, or just another episode of reality TV politics?

English is keeping it simple, in Icelandic it’s a linguistic endurance sport.

One of the side effects of Prince Andrew losing his royal status is that he no longer gets an Icelandic name. In Icelandic tradition, we translate the names of hereditary heads of state and popes. But since Andrew is no longer royalty, he’s no longer Andrés - now he's just Andrew.

President Orange Julius Caesar and his ilk claim that guns are a God given right but don’t feel that food is a God given right. They claim to care about babies but don’t care if they go hungry when they become children.

We're probably on track for more than 3°C of heating, and with the orange clown back in the White House, it's only going to be speeding up.

"Humanity has failed to limit global heating to 1.5C and must change course immediately, the secretary general of the UN has warned."

Exclusive: ‘Devastating consequences’ now inevitable but emissions cuts still vital, says António Guterres in sole interview before Cop30

Is there no bottom to this man’s pettiness, or does it just tunnel straight to the earth’s core? Read the Major Events timeline, for the years 1998, 2013, 2023, 2024. It’s less a biography and more a spite-fueled art installation. Is this hilarious or something else entirely?

Reagan believed free trade was vital for growth, warning that tariffs and protectionism hurt everyone, including the U.S. He talked tough against unfair foreign practices, but only used tariffs as a “necessary evil” when diplomacy failed. Bottom line: Reagan preferred open markets, not trade wars.

Been warning about that. Can’t wait for the headlines explaining how ‘technically’ this still counts as democracy - even as it’s blatantly rigged.
Hope people are realizing that rigging the 2026 and 2028 elections have always been the plan.

What strikes me as odd is that companies and individuals are donating to build the ballroom. To me, that reeks of corruption.
Today, the White House Press Secretary told the country that this ridiculous damn ballroom is “the president’s main priority”…not reopening the government, not lowering the cost of groceries, not lowering the cost of housing, not lowering the cost of healthcare….building a ballroom

"Viewpoint diversity" about whether human activity is warming the planet, or whether vaccines work, is like "viewpoint diversity" about whether the sky is blue or whether the Earth is round. It falls outside the range of good faith scientific and academic discourse.

Israel’s “ceasefire” strategy: bomb first, announce peace later, repeat until everyone’s thoroughly confused and Gaza’s hospitals overflow. Humanitarian aid? Maybe next time - right after the next airstrike, of course! What a masterclass in conflict resolution.

The #comic Hugleikur Dagsson just got kicked off Meta. Let’s make him feel at home here on Bluesky. His work is dark, sarcastic, and absolutely hilarious in my view.

Welcome to Bluesky @dagsson.bsky.social
Hello Bluesky. I'm here because Meta doesn't want me. Looking forward to post unfiltered, unhinged and un-whatever stuff here. Tell your friends!

#NoKings protests sweep the US, hundreds of thousands flood cities, demanding democracy, not monarchy. Times Square, D.C., LA, Miami: all peaceful despite National Guard on standby. Trump dodges the “king” label, but critics see creeping authoritarianism and recall fights against fascism.
