Me: "In Sweden we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. That means today is the day before Christmas. It is a stressful day because I have a million things on my to-do list."

Also me: *fires up Star Trek: Online*

Just build him a non-functioning dreadnaught replica out of balsa wood and call it the U.S.S. Trump. That will entertain him for months.

I just paid our daughter's last university tuition bill. Following this journey feels a bit unreal. I am also exceedingly proud.

Happy Winter Solstice to all who celebrate. ☃️

Ha, I literally emailed IT at work about this earlier this week. This was the response I got:

Får jag bjuda på mitt snävaste militärhistoriska verk? Inhandlad i museibutiken på Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Hangarbyggnaderna för luftskepp på Naval Air Station Lakehurst i New Jersey finns kvar än idag, inklusive hangar nr. 1 som var destinationen för LZ 129 Hindenburg. Det lär gå att boka visningar. Jag har inte varit där, men däremot har jag haft turen att få flyga över hangarerna i ett sportflygplan.

Oh well.

Wow, am I missing something? Looks like you can now only search your order history for 120 days on TCGplayer. Now I have no way of judging the appreciation of cards I have ordered in the past.

Sorry, no. These are the blue ones.

When my daughter was young, I used to buy NM Alpha commons and uncommons as Christmas stocking stuffers for her to collect. When I made an order of cards, I would just check what was available in NM condition for cheap and add one or two. One of them is now worth $225.

"Kramsnö" is my favorite from a linguistic perspective. It literally means "hug snow". It refers to snow that it is good for making snow balls, snowmen, and snow lanterns.

Nysnö, however, is my favorite type of snow and that's what we got today.

We got about two more centimeters of snow today. Our driveway now consists of loose snow on ice, but at least it looks pretty. ❄️

As someone who does benefit-cost analysis for a living, S4E06 of For All Mankind is frustrating. The business case for the Goldilocks asteroid is based on the market price of iridium when it was detected. But that price would be slashed with such a sharp increase in supply.

[No spoilers please]

Got my dose of nature this morning. Now chilling watching For All Mankind. ❄️🚀

How are you holding up?

Pictures from my hike this morning. There were a surprising number of people out on the trails given that it was pretty gray. Towards the end of the hike there was a hint of sun and a blue sky. ❄️

Not that I'm really racing, when the trails are covered with very hard, packed snow, it is perfect conditions for microspikes. You can actually hike faster under these conditions than you can on a dry trail. This was the fastest time that I have completed this loop, under any season.
