Good luck to you. As you can see, I am already hard at work!

Just build him a non-functioning dreadnaught replica out of balsa wood and call it the U.S.S. Trump. That will entertain him for months.

Wishing you a positive outcome and quick recovery.

I think the chances of a "tariff check" are close to nil.

Jag tror inte det. "Löwe" fanns på pappret hos Krupp, men kom aldrig längre än så. Sen är det lite märkligt att de andra namnen som användes var typ "Pz.Kpfw. IV".

Ha, I literally emailed IT at work about this earlier this week. This was the response I got:

Yes. Trump is claiming prices are down, which is clearly false and which you should point out. But writing "inflation was still up" isn't helping.
December 18, 2025 at 6:16 PM
The statement in the article "While inflation was still up, it was less than the 3 percent that analysts expected" is equally misleading. Inflation measures the increase in prices. Inflation is down from September, not up.
December 18, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Let me be more blunt: Saying "Brutal numbers for food in the latest inflation report" is directly misleading, as food inflation is down to 2.6%.

Tariffs are a horrendously bad economic policy, but the spike in coffee prices is primarily due to disastrous weather affecting major coffee producers like Brazil and Vietnam.

And I say this as someone who has strongly criticized Trump's tariff policy.
December 18, 2025 at 2:31 PM
This is tabloid reporting. Cherry picking goods is meaningless, because there are specific drivers that explain those spikes (e.g., drought). Food inflation, overall, is 2.6% year-over-year. That's lower than the baseline inflation of 2.7%. Energy however, is up 4.2%:
