Me: "In Sweden we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. That means today is the day before Christmas. It is a stressful day because I have a million things on my to-do list."

I just paid our daughter's last university tuition bill. Following this journey feels a bit unreal. I am also exceedingly proud.

Kris and I used to be friends.
I will not apologize for this.

Wow, am I missing something? Looks like you can now only search your order history for 120 days on TCGplayer. Now I have no way of judging the appreciation of cards I have ordered in the past.

It is said that the Inuit languages have a hundred words for snow. This is a myth, but like all arctic languages, hey many. So does Swedish. Here are some:

Snö: Snow
Nysnö: New snow
Pudersnö: Powder
Blötsnö: Slush
Drivsnö: Drift snow
Yrsnö: Windblown snow
Hårdsnö: Packed snow
Kramsnö: Sticky snow

We got about two more centimeters of snow today. Our driveway now consists of loose snow on ice, but at least it looks pretty. ❄️

As a potential employer, I cannot emphasize enough how fast "AI proficient" on a job application would end that candidate's chances of an interview.
It's hard to overstate how impossible this demand is from Purdue's administration to implement these AI requirements by next fall. We are nowhere close to understanding what AI proficiency means or what it looks like in education.

As someone who does benefit-cost analysis for a living, S4E06 of For All Mankind is frustrating. The business case for the Goldilocks asteroid is based on the market price of iridium when it was detected. But that price would be slashed with such a sharp increase in supply.

[No spoilers please]

Pictures from my hike this morning. There were a surprising number of people out on the trails given that it was pretty gray. Towards the end of the hike there was a hint of sun and a blue sky. ❄️

I just canceled my TCGplayer subscription because of their systematic attempts at union-busting and declining quality of service. By happy coincidence, the next monthly charge was scheduled for tomorrow.

Message left in the snow along the hiking trail.

[The message is not from me. I do love you, but I'm way too shy to say so.]
