Went to a “Krampus Market” which was located in a church. Parts of it felt like a bunch of commercialized occultist wannabes and BDSM enthusiasts had attempted to turn the place into a boudoir. And a number of patrons were gay guys drinking mimosas.

At the Dumpling Festival at the SF Ferry Building. Tons of dumplings from around the world. I managed to snag 2 of many. Seafood dumplings and samosas.

Sunday is investigating today’s “book haul”. The Adventures of Cipollino by Gianni Rodari (allegory with fruits and vegetables post-WWII Italy), Physics for Cats by Tom Gauld (science cartoons!), and To the Lake by Kapka Kassabova (looking forward to this one— the author has a poetic writing style).

Also want to note that the museum in the nearby town is not worth it. Even after getting tickets, they try to rip you off by demanding more money before they let you inside. (I and several other tourists did not go inside once we heard this.)

Went on a tour at Lubeck’s city hall and there was a painting there of a past mayor from the 1600s holding a lemon. The fruit symbolized the fact that the locals considered him a dumb mayor.
