You think that an early-2000s CGI movie pulling from a classic like Rudolph would be rather shit, except...they did try at least. Yeah, the animation has aged, and the new characters stick out A LOT, but it's...okay regardless.

I like the way this film tells Santa's backstory; If a certain soda company were to ever die, we should canonize this as to why Santa's suit is red. Also, this is probably the Rankin-Bass special with the songs I know most of by heart (least their melody).

I prefer the much later outings from Rankin-Bass for holiday specials, but this one is still iconic for its characterization of the titular song and its other ditties. Though...holy shit; Santa and Donner are literally toxic as hell; what IS their damage?

I needed to watch this again ASAP since not only is it one of my favourite Rankin-Bass holiday specials (the Miser brothers are iconic and I love how cozy Southtown is), but also because I needed to isolate this whole scene since I do think it's kinda raw.

Yes, I actually watched the entire series. This is the first of those Hanna-Barbera self-ripoffs of Scooby-Doo that I've seen, but I think it fairs rather well. Especially given the few episodes which DID actually have an actual creature in it with no smoke and mirrors.

It's striking how eerily symbolic to current events this got, and all the while some of the most tense interactions with characters I've ever seen played out as everything lined up to the original story. I will concede that the second act is a little "?????", though.

Being my first direct exposure of any form to this musical, I was enthralled by the way it establishes things that tie into events set to transpire in "The Wizard of Oz". The casting is spot on for these characters too, the set design is immaculate, and god that last shot...mmmmm.

Although this is primarily a multiplayer focused game, its story mode is...well, not MUCH, I'll agree, but it did have many moments I popped off at specifically near the end of both routes. Also, its main narrative is brief, but the implications it insinuates are wild.

Gave this a more rapid run-through since I really wasn't planning to continue on much afterward, but certainly cements the Spook Shack characters as the most fleshed out in this entire game, especially the three featured here. These folks have been through it...
