There's also color palette shifts for Old Man Winter and Jessica. The former is obvious, but I like Jessica's a lot. It starts off muted, despite her orange hair, but after she breaks Kris and Winter from the dungeon, finalizing her side in the story, her clothes are saturated to match Kris more.

77) Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (1970)
I like the way this film tells Santa's backstory; If a certain soda company were to ever die, we should canonize this as to why Santa's suit is red. Also, this is probably the Rankin-Bass special with the songs I know most of by heart (least their melody).

I prefer the much later outings from Rankin-Bass for holiday specials, but this one is still iconic for its characterization of the titular song and its other ditties. Though...holy shit; Santa and Donner are literally toxic as hell; what IS their damage?
