This statement from Big Ten COPC chair Darryll Pines of Maryland. It is true that former Michigan president Santa Ono chaired the group previously. Ono left Michigan effective May 5. UC Investments involvement & discussions with the conference began in... July of this year.

The surprise here is FOX having an extra game- Northwestern-Illinois in primetime co-existing with the NBC window. The holds on UCLA-USC & Oregon-Washington are less surprising. Also, no NBCSN debut for B1G football this year and only seven total Peacock exclusives.

FS1 finished a hair ahead of ESPN in primetime Tuesday in M18-34 per PI. YTV dispute certainly helps non-Disney network channels, but we're starting to see how the new media deals are helping FOX in hoops viewership metrics.

Scripps announced a deal with Major League Volleyball yesterday and expect them to be more active in acquiring more sports properties going forward based on quotes from their earnings call.

Here's a look at FOX's Saturday primetime gimmick. From what I can gather, the Arkansas-Michigan State game on Nov. 8 is the earliest a major broadcast network has aired a college basketball game ever in a regular season. FOX is dedicating two Saturday nights in Nov. for hoops.

Looking at some of the CBO slides from the last couple weeks and it's disappointing that Detroit City FC projects 1500 average attendance for their women's team. I know it's basically a collegiate summer league, but support isn't really catching on like some expected.

In a story about supporter dissent with the club, the club saying supporters are the reason why they're seeking tax abatements for their project is high level gaslighting. Nasty work.
