virtually attending a workshop tonight and instructor mentioned using chatGPT to search for something if google isn't helping and i do not care that i am insufferable anymore i have simply accepted i am the insufferable guy everyone knows when it comes to this shit

me sending a message in a zoom chat:

Obligatory mention that chatGPT isn’t a search engine—it assembles what it thinks are the most likely words to go together based on information scraped from the internet, so it may give you false information (and definitely will eventually, if you use it often enough) so make sure to verify everything it tells you!
