From Dont Look Back to Shadow Kingdom, I wrote about every film that Bob Dylan has starred or featured in, and one that he may or may not have done for Far Out Magazine

1942's "Now, Voyager" is a first rate tear jerker only slightly weighed down by its pace. Bette Davis seized hold of the production and ably demonstrates why she was perfect for the role, making the film into a triumphant examination of the power of love on the human spirit.

Got asked to write about Watching the River Flow, and put this together whilst watching a slightly larger body of water

Haven't seen that one, but will have to check it out - I like the sound of it just from what you've said there!

Old Man is great, and a lovely send off to his on-screen career

Haven't watched/listened but kept up with some quotes on a live feed. He is awful but Starmer is so spineless in not standing up to his ideas on using the military at the borders or his stupid, childish "drill, baby, drill" slogan on fracking

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it, it was such fun to join the group and speak with everyone

Really sad to hear the news about Robert Redford. Wonderful actor, incredibly cool guy and just one of the all time greats. These are two of my favourite movies ever

This was such a treat to be a part of and an honour to be invited to. I'm always grateful to anyone who takes the time to read anything at all that I write, and thoroughly enjoyed this conversation

Special thanks to @rmrakove.bsky.social for such thoughtful and thought-provoking questions

Very excited to join the It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Reading) Bob Dylan book club tonight, as they meet to talk about this old thing

Thanks for reading it! I absolutely loved Knoxville and Chattanooga, they were wonderful places to visit. More Tennessee to come in the second book, too, having seen shows in Nashville and Memphis last year. Memphis might just be my favourite place to have visited in America so far

Good post day today. This might finally encourage me to listen to the RTR box set I sprung for in 2019 and then never got around to listening to

As soon as I was done recording this I realised that my actual answer to the question "what song would you like to hear Bob Dylan cover?" is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"

Bob Dylan’s live performances are a unique art form of their own and few people have seen more of them or written about them better than Matthew Ingate @t0mbstoneblues.bsky.social . This is a great conversation between him and Dylan scholar @inthephishbowl.bsky.social - don’t you dare miss it.

January brings us a new Bob Dylan book from Robert Polito, which will surely be brilliant, and then February follows on with another new Bob book, from @whitecitycinema.bsky.social, which I can confirm is a real delight.

What a great couple of releases to kick off the year with!

Haha! Would just need to redact any of the parts that mention him first
