Inflation report for November just came out.

Headline rate: 2.7% over the year, down from 3%.
Core inflation: 2.6%.

Inflation is both slowing (this was an unexpectedly good report), yet still above the Fed's 2% target.

I saw a Tik Tok about this lovely effort to search out a longtime customer who didn’t show up on schedule, get him to a Hosptial, and THEN find him a new apt next to the restaurant so they could keep bringing him his order during rehab and keep an eye on him generally.

I really appreciate that @pbsnews.org ended the interview with this graphic.

It captures, in the simplest and starkest terms, the brutal arithmetic driving this country's homelessness catastrophe.

NEW: More questions about the long-term effects of GLP-1 weight loss drugs as new research finds people with higher muscle mass showed less brain ageing.

Many users of GLP-1s such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro shed muscle mass at the same time as they lose fat.

Congress and state legislatures must make this practice illegal. We should not be automatically enrolled in the violation of our privacy by these tech companies. Features like this should only be enabled after clear, informed, fully free consent—not via default settings.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

I was part of the internal Trump administration team trying to convince the president to end the shutdown in 2018 - 2019 — for 35 days — before people went hungry, workers lost pay, and government services collapsed.

Here’s what I learned: he doesn’t give a shit.

The President of the United States is so upset about his failed campaign for a Nobel Prize that he's now trying to claim someone else's prize as his own.

Pathetic.
