Makes me realize that political scientists have failed to explain to a generation of citizens why this is not only a bad idea but would accomplish the opposite of what you think it would. I think it was assumed that people who grew up in the Cold War just knew this, and passed it on

Korea's preeminent *conservative* paper of record exclusively reports that President Yoon ordered someone at the National Intelligence Service (Korean CIA) to arrest the head of his own party (who would later vote against martial law) and when the NIS man refused, ordered his dismissal.
