Swedish public support for a nuclear weapon is "surprisingly high" at 17%, according to defense experts.

Over the weekend, the Supreme Commander was also asked about the need for European nuclear weapons: "So long as nuclear weapons threaten our existence...we must think about that dimension."

Defense industry must 3x production rate, says Swedish Armed Forces.

That ambition is possible, according to defence industry organization SOFF, but will take 5-7 years to reach. There are already backlogs.

Parliament is in unanimous agreement to take 300 billion SEK loan for defense investment.

There are big grand-strategic issues involved in developing nuclear weapons. One of the biggest: if you aim to build a coalition of like-minded middle powers to defend the rules-based international order, then you probably shouldn't trash nonproliferation, one of that order's keystones, on the way.

Nice. This is probably the result of the working group on UNCLOS:

”Vessels shall sail under the flag of only one State and vessels that sail under the flags of two or more states, using them according to convenience, may be treated as a ship without nationality, as according to UNCLOS Article 92.”
Nu börjar det hända saker. JEF+ varnar i praktiken Ryssland för att man kommer att stoppa skuggflottan. Sverige med bland de 14 länderna.
