Oklahoma QB John Mateer is "pushing" to return this weekend against Texas, per an ESPN report.

That aligns with 247Sports/CBS Sports' reporting Sept. 26 that there was early internal belief that Mateer could make it back from hand surgery in time for the Red River Rivalry.
