黒人文化を文献研究や西洋の古典的な歴史学や地政学などの観点からではなく口伝伝承・記憶の伝統（Mnemonic tradition)として捉えているのが素晴らしい。新書という限られたスペースで濃厚な即興性と日本の読者にとって親しみやすい創造性に富んだ入門書であると思います。

I got to see the work of Alioune Diagne (@aliounediagne_officiel) at @mcndakar in Dakar. He turns old black&white images in colonial postcards into colourful paintings and the medium is none other than sugar. There is an amazing decolonial philosophy behind his art.
