I honestly thought my stepfather's train was a '90s model. '80s, maybe. But it's a French model (Jouef) with a Euro/US plug adapter, which dates it to the years he lived in Paris, circa late '70s(??). I want to it clean for a Christmas train. 😁 Here's hoping the internals look okay. 🤞🙏 #modeltrains

Just wanted to share an example of how complicated science can get, beyond the high school level. And when people ask me why I didn't pursue science academically, it's because it literally looks like this in every subject, and my brain cannot. 😅 Mad props to the scientists out there. #sciencesky

There's really good stuff, here, but there's a lot that's meant for a crowd, has too many steps, or is just really excessive. Like, no I am not topping my casserole with ... donuts? Bagels? [reads] ...White bread cut into "donuts." Keep it simple, ffs.

My excitement over attaining my grandmother's collection of Time Life and Better Homes & Gardens cookbooks is always swiftly tempered by constant reminders that these books were written for stepford moms expected to feed big families, impress guests, and host cocktail parties. 💀

I want to get back into D&D, but I don't know how to find people to play with. ...So here's a character I came up with. I was originally thinking bard, but I really like the ranger class, and after a bit of reading I think she'd be a fun Fey Wanderer.

This is the second most terrifying thing I found in my piles of old crap. 🤣 #1 was 2 mixed box of stashed papers, junk, and art from college. Now 1 box. In my shed. 🤣 I don't really have a choice but to deal with it, now that we have to clean out the family home/grand-folks' house/stash hub. 💀

The marriage of 2 loves: furries and Disney's "Pete's Dragon" (1977). Based on the song description, and designed for my own body type as a fursuit. Elliott was one of my favorite characters as a kid, and the song "It's Not Easy" is still one of my favorite film allegories for tolerance.

I bought this a while back, but I haven't really been in a great headspace to read it. I pretty much already know the overview of how it went in the South (the consequences still haunt us), but I don't often hear about the North.
