We have several stories about elder vampires. Not just because they've been around forever, but because they were older when they were turned:
-Episode 705, "Dead By Night"
-Episode 530, "In the Company of Bastards"

Gather close, #HorrorWritersChat bods, whether you creak, or not. And believe me, many of us creaked in our teens, it's all good.
Age is just one factor.
But it's an interesting one that we do overlook. How many of us actually have older characters in our books, that aren't the wise mentor type?
Horror is chock full of young characters. What about your older ones? How do they shape the story differently?

Graphic shows two trick-or-treaters with grinning jack-o-lantern heads. The teeth are all sharp and the eyes look wicked. They're holding bags that say "Trick or Treat." Behind them is what looks like an abandon house or farm with a vertical sign reading, "Welcome." Text reads: "Halloween Origins: Flash Fiction Contest. Closes Midnight, Sept 30th."

Since many of us are cancelling streaming services, now might also be a good time to support writers and artists. Times are extremely tough for creatives, so why not buy a book, commission an art piece, sign up for a Patreon, tip your favorite creators. Everything helps.

Hey, do you like books? That's what I write. You should read mine, and give me money for them so I can spend the money on like food and that type of crap.

Or whatever
