NEW: last night, the US govt launched an assault on the ‘global censorship industrial complex’, aka European tech researchers/campaigners.

It’s a deeply chilling move & speaks as to why we need international solidarity more than ever.

The loveliest of journeys 💕
Three years ago this terrified dog arrived at our home. Since then we’ve been on a long and often difficult journey to make her feel safe with us and there’s more to do but we’re so glad that #sophiefromromania came into our lives

It is very difficult to think of anything Trump has done this year that does not denigrate the USA’s staunchest allies and delight their once shared enemies, most obviously Vladimir Putin. And apart perhaps from Mark Carney, Western politicians are not rising to the unprecedented challenge he poses.
Trump: "Immigration and energy are going to destroy Europe."

Why is the Prime Minister ignoring his own Chief Economic Advisor, who recommended a Customs Union with the EU to boost growth?

Instead he's choosing to hike taxes in a cost of living crisis.

Waiting for the axe to drop on Gill insulates the government from any Faragist crap about being unfairly targeted. Although he’ll probably try it anyway. I don’t think this story is over.

“Did Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?”

“Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?”

You can have those for nothing, lads.

A former UK prime minister held responsible for tens of thousands of deaths while the US president calls for elected politicians to be hanged.

A jolt of a reminder that law and policy are ultimately about life and death.

And politicians are often not up to dealing with such things.
