My thoughts and prayers about the flooding deaths in Texas are only that the survivors realize that these events will occur more frequently with increasing global warming and that the current political leaders in Washington and Austin are LYING to them if they claim otherwise.

After a revisit to Black Swan, I find the criticism of the film's portrayal of ballet to be jejune. The story is no more about dance than Taxi Driver is about driving a hack. Black Swan is about performing as a woman in the Butlerian sense of the word. Ballet is just a metaphor for "flawless."

According to a report of a poll this morning, 66% of Americans claim they know nothing about tRump's big, ugly spending bill. But among those who do have a functional brain, 64% dislike it. So the undereducated are still fucking over the rest of us!

As a hard-core college softball fan, it's difficult for me to cheer one team in the new AUSL. I have girls I love on all the teams. Devin Netz, Sis Bates, Rachel Garcia, Sam Landry, Montana Fouts?? These ladies are WCWS studs! But its great seeing them all again.
