Finishing a major rewrite of my work scripts for the 4th time over the many years that I've had them. Each time I swear I've got it perfect and I learn some new nonsense that makes it all easier to work with... as wonderful as it is to innovate I could just maintain it and have a 'done' project!

nothing left now but to form an alliance with the crows

i love writing userscripts to cover for the one dev team we're partnered with failing to get back to support requests, but in the same breath i burned 20 minutes over a typo in a var name so i get it

and just like that the pi won't interact with this hat at all. i feel like i should just rma now but ughhh that's such a pain

handed the pi reluctantly to my bf again and he did fucking SOMETHING and now the hat connects, guess i can't count him out. it aura is insane

after a good sleep coming back to the pi. my bf damaged some pins but gpio tests are coming up fine (unless a non-user pin was damaged, but seems unlikely)

idk if the hat is doa instead, wish there was a better way to test that which doesn't involve putting gpio headers on another project

the pi in the hat lives after finding the one keyboard setup that works to actually interact with the thing (it wouldn't connect to the preconfigured 5G wifi for ssh, confusing me for hours)

if anyone's got a rec for a little wireless keyboard that i can plug into the pi via dongle that'd be swell
