I know why Wikipedia has the tone of voice it has but it does mean the Reception section for singles is full of stuff like “In a positive review, Jon Pareles of the New York Times described the song as ‘catchy’”

the thing is international hostels often had this same policy so I imagine some budget hotels used it too, but that was prior to the cost of living and housing becoming unconscionably high everywhere
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.
When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

I (with my kim deal reference username) got to see them in 2011 while she was still briefly reunited with them and I cried a lil bit and can never see them again
