The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Today marks day 65 of Heba Muraisi’s hunger strike.

Day 58 for Kamran Ahmed.

They are now at imminent risk of death and this Labour government remains spineless and cowardly — refusing even to meet their lawyers while lives hang in the balance.

The health of the Palestine hunger strikers is rapidly deteriorating.

Heba Muraisi, on day 65 of her strike, is suffering from muscle spasms and breathing problems, while Kamran Ahmed, on day 58, is experiencing hearing loss.

The government must urgently engage with the prisoners’ representatives.

This case is absolutely horrifying.
Qesser Zuhrah and Amy Gardiner-Gibson are on day 46 of their hunger strike. Heba Muraisi is on day 45. All are at a high risk of death.

In 1981 - the last time there was a hunger strike like this - Martin Hurson died after 46 days.

For 10 days the prison refused to acknowledge she was on hunger strike

Another prisoner, Qesser (20), has dangerously low BP + high heart rate, blocked from hospital care

They're political prisoners held without trial
They must be bailed and proper medical treatment 🇵🇸

Our government tried to let racist, genocidal Israeli football hooligans rampage on Birmingham's streets.

They smeared those opposed to this as being driven by hatred of Jewish people.

Now listen to what the West Midlands Chief Constable told MPs.

What a scandal.

Two children have been killed every day in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire began.

Why has this disappeared from the headlines?

The genocide never ended — and our government is still complicit.

End all arms sales to Israel, now.
