Good morning with good news: India's solar & wind additions skyrocketed 123% to 20.1 GW in April to August 2025, compared to 9 GW in same period in 2024.

India added 17.5 GW of solar & 2.6 GW of wind.

India starts its fiscal year on April 1.

What about 2025?

EV sales are reportedly ~40%.

EVs also surge in other emerging economies.

Why?

Fascinating! I foresee that battery storage will strongly increase (which combined with strong battery price decreases means ~100x more batteries in the coming 10 years) and this will support solar+wind and reduce grid investments.
