my paternal side (from ireland) mostly settled in jersey and philly in the 19th century. my maternal side (from west africa) mostly settled in the carolinas piedmont and appalachia regions during the 18th century.

my people moved around.

I'll add something... we need media literacy education at levels never seen in the US to help here. With AI tools free and copyright or IP disrespected forever anyway, it's easy to make convincing deepfakes and mislead people.
