It's quite an experiment to have a government run by the dumbest people on the planet.

Watching Trump talk about Putin’s intentions for Ukraine is like a Helsinki redux. He just doesn’t get it.

Putin has never changed his demands and they amount to Ukraine surrendering its own country. Trump saying Russia wants Ukraine to succeed was so absurd that even Zelensky had to crack a smile.

Why don’t people simply choose not to get the flu.
Dr. Oz on the "super flu": "Every year there's a flu vaccine. It doesn't always work very well. That's why it's been controversial of late. But like many illnesses, the best news out there is if you can take care of yourself so that when you do end up running into the flu, you can overwhelm it."

Statewide, WEST VIRGINIA has by far the *most* expensive unsubsidized ACA premiums.

A 64-yr old couple earning $90K/yr living in Kanawha County, WV will see their net benchmark Silver premiums go up 7.7x as much. 👀

they want "everybody" to have 10 kids while not supporting labor and think it's a conspiracy that major metro areas have a bunch of daycares 👍
Trump guys are about to Comet Pizza every third daycare center because they think they are all fronts for Somali money laundering. They're only doing this near cities with progressive mayors. This is straight up Government by LibsOfTikTok.

For the right, which is a coalition built on a cultural value of hierarchy, some people are just better and more deserving than others. Hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug, because legal/moral consistency is rooted in equity.

Nothing shows you're exceptional like having exceptions made in your favor.

It's best to understand that fascists see hypocrisy as a virtue. It's how they signal that the things they are doing to people were never meant to be equally applied.

It's not an inconsistency. It's very consistent to the only true fascist value, which is domination.

The “fun” thing about the kennedy center freakout is that conservatives have been carving out “creative” exceptions to anti discrimination laws so they can be bigots to ordinary people just trying to make a purchase, but if actual artists don’t want to perform for the god king they must be punished

Howard University will certainly memorialize Richard Smallwood in some special way. Not a single chapel service ended without us singing “Total Praise” and “I Love the Lord.” This hurts so bad.

There are so many Richard Smallwood songs that I love.

But I love the album Persuaded b/c I’ve always felt it shows the range of his gifts as a composer. I mean…..the opening “Procession of the Levites” and “Anthem of Praise”?

A master at work.

Richard Smallwood has passed. They will call him a gospel music artist. He was that.

But Smallwood was also one of the greatest composers - period of any modern music form.

My heart is heavy. A great musical legend has left us.
