I really only read tarot for fun and for friends :)

I rotate between three decks:

Rider-Waite for "high divination" i.e. major life events

a deck based on Emily Dickinson's poetry for the more esoteric, mysterious moments (I leave this one at my office on campus)

and (my favorite) a deck based on the Dark Crystal series for daily readings! :)

If you’re afraid that books might change someone’s thinking, you’re not afraid of books, you’re afraid of thinking.

This is the second time in as many days the Devil has met me face to face. I'll have to watch out for the shadow self. The Sun keeps appearing in the middle position, reminding me my present course is one of recovery and healing after my personal turmoil from the last couple months. #tarotsky

Daily draw: King of Stones, reversed. The Kings call you to lead on your journey through the suit. Stones, the suit of power, ambition, intellect. Reversed, this King cautions how you wield your own power, lest you become the deceitful tyrant like SkekSil the Chamberlain. #dailytarot #tarotsky

Your writing process will change on a daily basis with every project, because every project is different. Whatever gets you to the final product is the way that that book needed to be written.

So I need you to stop scrolling and say this aloud right now.

"My writing process is not broken."

Word of the day is ‘librocubicularist’: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed.

(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).

I hate when they take away things you were just starting to really enjoy, like your favorite TV show or democracy.

Picked up this little book of writers’ writing rituals, & I think most of em are liars — “up at dawn, 6 hours at my desk, followed by calisthenics, liquor, & reading edifying works.” But David Lynch delivers the goods.

Daily draw: Ace of Vials. I see the Ace as what you need to prepare for your journey through the suit. Vials, the suit of emotions, dreaming, & healing. The Ace says to be receptive to new relationships & inspirations; the song in your heart is ready to be free. #tarotsky #dailytarot

hi #tarotsky this is the coolest tag ever. I love that we're just adding "sky" to the ends of words here lol. I read tarot for my friends mostly but I like the idea of keeping an account of my own daily readings somewhere. and where better than the skyline? :)
