She/her. I’m an archivist and historian with a deep love for primary sources. I’ll info dump about rhetoric, history, society/politics for as long as you’ll let me. Keeper of a home full of sassy critters. Trying to embrace more whimsy.
What an outstanding pilot. I love this modern take on thrillers. Please continue the show.

I have no idea what I’m going to beg for on the subreddit now. You’ve fulfilled my BtB dreams.

Thank you all for the stellar content. New vids were truly a highlight for my husband and I, and remain often replayed comfort watches for these two anxiety-ridden Americans. I’m excited to see what’s next for each of you. 💓

To be very clear, this is strictly birtherism and not pro family. We know what policies support families, we have for a long time- accessible healthcare, affordable childcare, UBI, and robust public education. None of those seemed to get mentioned though. Weird.

Of course they’ll also make sure educational institutions can’t teach anybody about white nationalist ideology and tactics in political and religious movements, so that’s real nifty for them.

I’m tired. And sad. And scared.

That’s rhetorical, btw. I know the answer.

If we as a country are saying “Harriet Tubman doesn’t count as an American hero. The people who escaped enslavement don’t count as heroes. The people who saw the absolute worst this country had to offer and STILL tried to make it into something better don’t count.” Then what does count?

Aside from the obvious horror of completely divorcing the Underground Railroad from its entire historical context, we’re losing real stories of real American perseverance, heroism, and ingenuity.

do i roll my eyes at a lot of DEI stuff? yeah, i wrote a whole essay about why i thought it was bullshit back in 2020. but trump et al aren’t saying, “corporate DEI policies mainly exist to protect corporate interests from discrimination lawsuits.” they’re saying “get the blacks out”

I’m an archivist and digital preservation still feels like 4D chess to me. It’s difficult, unending, and often thankless work.

I’m an old now. But FWIW I always appreciated when teachers/profs were honest about being unsure and anxious themselves. Was in HS during 9/11 and the teachers who made the biggest impact were the ones willing to be vulnerable with us b/c they were scared too.
