Apple, listen, nobody cares about a super-thin iPhone. People want a *smaller* iPhone option.

Apple Said to Cut iPhone Air Production Amid Underwhelming Sales
Apple plans to cut production of the iPhone Air amid underwhelming sales performance, Japan's Mizuho Securities believes (via The Elec). The Japanese investment banking and securities firm claims that the iPhone 17 Pro and ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ Max are seeing higher sales than their predecessors during the same period last year, while the standard iPhone 17 is a major success, performing significantly better than the iPhone 16. The ‌iPhone Air‌ is apparently the outlier; Apple plans to reduce production by one million units this year. Meanwhile, Apple plans to increase production of all other models by two million units. The overall production forecast of the ‌iPhone 17‌ series this year has also been increased from 88 million units to 94 million units for the start of 2026. A separate report earlier today claimed that Samsung has canceled plans to release a successor to its own ‌iPhone Air‌ rival, the Galaxy S25 Edge, due to low sales. Nevertheless, the ‌iPhone Air‌ reportedly sold out within hours in China, despite lower than expected sales in western countries last month. The same report from Mizuho Securities today revealed details about Apple's first foldable iPhone and other future devices. Remember when the president refused to call in the national guard during the Jan 6 riots. Mighty quick to call them up when it’s happening in CA.

He could have attacked civilians but chose not to. It says a lot about the current US administration when they CHOSE to be on the side of the country intentionally killing civilians and not on the side of the one attacking legitimate military targets. History will not be kind to us.

On the same day that the government officially announces a multimillion dollar military parade for the president’s birthday it also denied North Carolina much needed FEMA aid.

When the treasury secretary says, “If we go back to your initial question on the Moody’s downgrade, who cares? Qatar doesn’t. Saudi doesn’t. UAE doesn’t,” long term Treasuries trade above 5%. So apparently a lot of important investors people care. What a clown show!

Let’s hope the Senate parliamentarian will remove many of the non-budget related provisions in the reconciliation bill.

Read this thread. Congress is trying to codify the ability to ignore courts.
And their mechanism for doing so is one sneaky little sentence tucked into the 1,116-page budget bill: “No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order

The fact that the President called Bezos about putting the tariff charge on Amazon purchases is an admission that Americans pay the tariffs. Most of us knew that fact, but others have still been saying China pays the tariffs. This president created the largest tax increase on Americans in decades.

Dem politicians who are doing something and saying something to oppose Trump’s attacks on American democracy are quickly rising in the estimation of voters.

Those calling those efforts a “distraction” or providing cover for Trump are quickly squandering their political capital.

Don’t be shocked if the economic data for the first quarter comes in higher than expected. Consumers are not fools. They know prices are heading up & are front loading purchases to avoid high prices for as long as possible. I’ve done it myself with business purchases.

We live in a global market whether the GOP wants to admit it or not. The world can buy products and commodities elsewhere and will because American policy cannot be trusted with this president.

So I reckon those Chinese jobs aren’t coming here after all
Here’s a bunch of times over the past few days that Trump and his team told us they absolutely, positively weren’t going to pause their tariffs. Total climbdown.
