An interesting thought experiment: what would have been the "Sean is safe" line for the Bills? Winning against the broncos? Winning the AFC championship? Winning the SB? I'm positive that there was one and many of the players knew it on Saturday, hence the emotional reaction

Nuanced take: One wonders how many decisions that we all think of as bad had Sean involved versus Beane? Worthy v Coleman, Elam pick, DL trades, etc.
This isn’t as egregious as Schoen, but I wasn’t watching the game this weekend thinking McDermott screwed up

I think the painful thing about the Bills is that I think the fanbase takes Josh Allen for granted. Every year that there is a relatively healthy Josh is a miracle and a chance to get a SB. This year (no AFC East champs) shows that there's no guarantees

Just guessing here, but I suspect the White House is pushing so hard for wars of conquest on multiple fronts because they see their support collapsing ahead of the midterms and worry they won't get another shot. An example of how tyrants become more dangerous as they get weaker, not less.
