Whenever I see a mantis they're just kinda chillin

There's also some kind of roughly spherical seed head things or something. It's pale green and is composed of approximately 40 straight tapering tubules that all meet with their widest points at the center of whatever it is

Lookit this bizarre critter! It's called cladonota
A kind of treehopper called a Cladonota. The chitinous plate on it's back is elongated ridiculously and curves back, so it looks like a black fishhook with tiny red eyes and 6 stubby lil legs. You know what? It's shaped like a globe stand. Nobody is really sure why it's shaped like that

They're saying that this *weekend's* shootings & fatalities are higher than the shoot of *just Labor Day the day* of previous years which is obviously dishonest, so I made a little table, and more people were killed last year and the year before and the year before that than this year

Thistles of some kind are growing along a fence in a snarl of green pointy things and lavender pom poms. One of the flowers which is in full bloom is being foraged on by two honey bees and some kind of little green fly at the same time
