K impresses me because of how much implied lore there is along with their consistent refusal to expand on any of it (unless there have been new series I haven't heard about).

One campaign, there was a prison guard who just kind of became the party's punching bag. I think they hated him because he kept running away, and he'd get a promotion, come back with new powers, get his butt whooped, rinse, repeat. A "he can't keep getting away with it" kind of thing.
