I've been convinced to just say what I've been thinking so-
You should be incorporating, or at least be inspired by modern politics when running a TTRPG.
It's way too easy to just shove your head into the sand and pretend it doesn't exist, but the act of gamifying it can make it easier to stomach.

My gaming groups don’t like to get deep into political intrigue or delve too much into difficult political topics (i.e., baby issues, heavy racism, genocide, etc).
