TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:

The risks for this situation are everywhere, from not being able to reach someone if they need help to becoming constant prey for scammers. But also just in general so much of life is virtual these days, if you can't use a smart phone, you're locked out and isolated. It's just you and TV.
