If you'd told me at the beginning of the year that a Finnish symphonic black metal record was going to be one of my favorites, well, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are. This is fucking great despite looking like something I'd have chuckled dismissively about.

It's been a minute or few. I started posting again on my 20(?) year old blog so maybe that's been my focus instead of trying to be funny-ish with minimalist characters available?

The movie mashup I didn't know I needed until now.

I'm assuming that the final round of funding for this whole Rapture thing fell apart. I was so looking forward to far less people being around.

If you have to dissemble structures enabling free speech to avoid being embarrassed then maybe the first step towards a solution is to stop being an embarrassment. Also, release the Epstein files you fucking cowards.

After slightly longer than a year of being unemployed, I'm headed out to do some IT work via NextDoor tomorrow.

I can't wait until it's a year from now and I'm full-time cleaning up AI slop and fixing all of the inspired work of 0-3 years of experience folks.

I watched too much of this tonight and I'm a little disappointed that it exists. Prop comedy for a loss

If you know me in real life then you know what a disaster this is. The number of friends I've made while hanging out here is uncountable. Next Saturday is going to be apocalyptic.

Listening to this completely overwhelmed me with nostalgia which I am normally very allergic to. I miss the idea that Mark is out there somewhere in all likelihood either befriending or annoying someone.

I'm super happy that Slow Mass is back in action. I think this record was the one recorded a few years ago and delayed by a whole fucking thing. This record is a bit quieter than their previous LP "On Watch." I was a tiny bit letdown by that initially but I'm all the way onboard now.

Just tried the Spotify "DJ" feature for the first time since it was released. Its advanced AI feature is the miraculous ability to play the first song from every record you've listened to in the past two weeks. Swell.

I have to wonder how long it will be until the length of the parade of logos at the beginning of a movie will be longer than the actual film. I suspect that it won't be long now.

I don't know how many times my back lizard brain has wondered why the back of the Top Ramen features a line drawing of Fred Armisen. It finally alerted the part of my brain that handles non-stupid tasks so now both spheres are less dumb. Still ...

I'm so tired that I just opened this post dialog and stared at it for 5 minutes. That there is some high quality brain atrophy.

Did my first tinkering around with Deepseek and I kinda believe the hype now. The phrasing of the replies is far better than I've seen. I'm always pretty critical of AI anything since it's just a chatbot with an infinitely larger database of bullshit but I found its replies useful for once.

The single funniest view of the week.
Since the newly appointed fraudster to the “White House Faith Office” is trending, I thought I’d bring back the remix of one of Paula White’s crazy ass sermons. Enjoy!🙃

So much for that platform. I've started down this road a few times just out of general frustration with privacy and ad-ware. Aligning yourself and your platform proudly with the tiny-handed fascist turd expedited the process exponentially.

I heard these folks for the first time this morning. I don't know how to properly classify them (post-hardcore with spazzy inclinations?) but I've liked everything that I've heard so far.

I look at Musk's nazi salute the same way that look at acquaintances that use 'gay' ironically. Your intent doesn't matter one fucking bit if overheard it lands on a victim unironically and does the same damage.

Fuck all of the journalists apologizing for this monster in a human suit.

Amazingly a CEO has learned that the magical combination of locking things want to buy in cages and cutting the number of employees per store to the barest of minimums isn't a recipe for success.

It's astounding what utter failure can teach these titans of industry.
