The Democratic Party needs to go more progressive. National health care. Climate change mitigation. A much more robust social safety net. Immigration reform with a faster route to citizenship. A fairer justice system. Fairer taxation. Money out of politics.

Independent media is super important given where we are today, and given how tepid mainstream media has been. Still, I can’t afford to subscribe to 50+ independent journalists, as much as I’d like to. We need a consortium model, where subscribers can access all articles with one monthly payment.

I’ll say one thing about the so-called liberal Supreme Court justices—Sotomayor, Kagen, and Jackson. They get it right nearly 100% of the time. The other justices? Terrible records.
