President Trump said in an interview with The New York Times that he regretted not ordering the National Guard to seize voting machines in swing states after his 2020 election loss. Trump has long pushed the false claim that the machines had been rigged against him.

I've always taken Hegseth's obsession with "lethality" to mean we're not going to care about innocent casualties. I suspect the generals summit is in part to make that more explicit and fear what follows.

I don’t think a lot of people on the right understand that a lot of people on the left regularly hear people on the left spout opinions we too think are ridiculous, annoying and buzz-killing too, only we don’t then decide it’s worth destroying democracy because Tara thinks bin bags are classist
