The 20th anniversary illustrated edition of A Feast For Crows seems to be packed with AI art. Given that GRRM is currently in a lawsuit against Open AI, I imagine he was not aware of this.

New York Times put the NYT Mini crossword behind a paywall

This link will let you bypass the paywall and play for free:

www.nytimes.com/crosswords/g...

I reverse engineered their JS and found the paywall is all client-side. This URL overrides the config flag which enables the paywall

All the fun of the larger New York Times Crossword, but you can solve it in seconds.

Hollywood Reporter did an article on GRRM's Sante Fe businesses. Released this morning.

In it he says he's focused on Winds of Winter and Dunk&Egg.

I would be okay with Dunk & Egg before Winds.
I would NOT be okay with freaking Blood & Fire before Winds.

Seems like George RR Martin is angry this morning lol. I do not blame him. Some of the comments in the r/asoiaf reddit thread about this are rancid.

He hates the progressive movement era and the New Deal era so much.
Trump: "You know, our country was the strongest, believe it or not, from 1870 to 1913. You know why? It was all tariff based. We had no income tax." (This is nonsense.)

This new song for CK3AGOT, "The Laughing Tree", by Apollo & Roselyse is just great. The accompanying artwork by Rottinghead is so good. Depicts Rhaegar and Lyanna.

Conservatives and Repubs. bitterly opposed the NLRB back in 1935, and they do so now. NLRB was the compromise between labor and government/business. I would hope that if the NLRB along with all the other New Deal labor protections get dismantled by Tump, we'd see a return of violent labor disputes
NLRB's Acting General Counsel just send this memo out to staff saying, "I cannot promise you that everything is going to be OK."

"I know that the past few days and nights have been extremely scary and distressing for some of us."
