Showing swing voters their own internal liberalism would require a lot of effort, primarily a big media infrastructure dedicated to educating the public. The Dems have relied on failing institutions (courts, media, universities) for too long.

It would be nice if the party stopped fully backing centrist dipshits whose entire campaign strategy is running against the Democratic brand.

And the Democrats don't even win those swing voters! There is no Cheney constituency! Chuck Schumer's beloved Baileys are never voting Democratic! It's a colossal waste of time!
