Of all the things I cherish about Bishop Budde, I keep thinking about how gentle + feminine she is when speaking.

So many of us lady clergy were told to code our public speaking to be more masculine — deeper, booming, assertive. While not inherently bad things, her preaching “like a girl”? Tears.

I remember being taught that saying "oh my God" was taking the Lord's name in vain... Ironically, lots of the same people who taught me that are totally cool with this though🫠

I can’t think of a single dystopian novel or movie that imagined our government filled not with aliens but ignorant conspiracy theorists, Russian assets, sex criminals and grifters.

I feel mislead by all dystopian literature. It's supposed to be a powerful authoritarian government that lords over a cowering population, and and we just need need a few brave acts of heroism to give the people the courage to rise up.

Instead it's just half the country being dumb and mean.
