As was obvious, Democrats compromising on basic things like “Due Process” or “Civil Rights” would not result in some sort of Republican goodwill or electoral benefit — it’s just leading to Democrats looking spineless as they possibly help Trump throw migrants into Guantanamo:
58 Democrats helped Republicans pass the Laken Riley Act, which will enable Trump's ICE to put migrants *accused* of shoplifting in detention, without due process.

The environmental scar of the border wall will last for millennia.
Border wall construction in southern Arizona's Pajarito Mts 4 years ago decimated the Mariposa Canyon watershed as well as jaguar & Mexican spotted owl critical habitat. The area remains in ruin today. Work crews continue to try to stabilize the site & the wall from collapse. The wall is useless.

We have a gun industry here in the 🇺🇸 that caters to illicit demand in Mexico and neither of our political parties are even trying to reduce the flow of 200-500,000 weapons from the civilian market to Mexico annually. There might actually be more Barrett M82s and FN M249"S"s in Mexico than the U.S.
