racing games would also be kinda like this if they unlocked all the prixs from the start

i think i saw the electric underground compare f-zero gx prixs to shmup 1ccs, saying something like "it's like having multiple similar arcade runs in one game" or that's what i got out of it

There's quite a few rom hacks of Pac and Ms. Pac as well, I like them but they usually suck

In particular, Ms. Pac Championship Edition's 1 minute timer per maze is a good idea, but there's also a speedup hack that isn't even there half of the time. Fruits also go through walls >:(
