so i shouldnt have said "FGs are so fuckin easy" it's more that they're generally more approachable and have a lot of resources. thats just how i see it. over time, the more ya play a certain char, the more it feels like it belongs to YOU. whereas in a moba its way easy to feel like ya lost agency

this is nothin against DL (its really good) or to say FGs are insanely easy (they aren't and its easy to forget the initial hurdles a new player faces) BUT i think the more nuanced decision making in a moba is so, so hard.

actually now that i think about it, we had a lot of guidance in FGs...

i think its like, the messiness of 10000 chaotic decisions is stressful and confusin versus, like, weighing the fairly obvious pros n cons of decisions made in a single FG match are very easy to quantify

when ya lose a match in a fg its very easy to look at the replay and see what ya did wrong but in deadlock or any other moba its like so many different decisions happenin all at once. meanwhile valve's like sorry the soonest i can give a replay is 5-10 minutes from now and even then...eugh.

this is why fighting games are so fuckin easy even tho everyone thinks theyre hard. like duh there's some challenging aspects to it but ya dont have to like....mentally prioritize 20 things, some of which are out of your control, while also listening for game cues n stuff.
