Remember when you were a kid, playing games with friends—there was always that one kid who tried to change the rules mid-game just to win… but still lost, and everyone knew they were cheating?

That’s DOGE.

Reminder no. 871: Congress can stop this insanity any time it so chooses.

Under the Constitution, *Congress*, not the President, has the power to tax and to impose tariffs. They gave it away. They can take it back.

Call your Congress reps, especially if they are GOP. Tell them: ENOUGH!

Here's an expert saying that "constitutional crisis" isn't the right term **because it doesn't go far enough.**

"The president is asserting dictatorial power and ‘constitutional crisis’ doesn’t capture the gravity of the situation.”

This is the question we must all answer for ourselves. But if we cede democracy out of fear of Trump, things will not get better just because we cave. Freedom is worth the hard work it’s going to take.
There are only two things that stand between Trump and being a dictator -- the courts and elections. Trump wants to send a clear message to law firms that he will go after them.

It is ok to be afraid, the question is what do you do. Do you hide and cower in fear or stand tall and say it is wrong?

You never imagine the descent into despotism being quite this embarrassing, you know? You expect liberal democracy to fall to a Palpatine, not Biff Tannen.
Trump on DOGE: We’re going to go into Fort Knox to make sure the gold is still there. You know that? We’re going to go into Fort Knox. You know about that? We hope everything is fine with Fort Knox. But we’re going to go to Fort Knox and make sure the gold is still there.

Important 🧵: Stanford political scientist uses data to show DOGE is attacking “liberal” agencies, not focusing on waste & inefficiency: “The hardest hit agencies are those that regulate industry, protect public health, and expand access to education.”
The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

The key point that was made in this clip is that it happened organically. We don’t come from the consultant class, we get zero legacy media hype, we don’t get invited on shows & don’t want to be on TV, no big money donors writing checks.
