Still manageable with diet and probably medication, but she is at risk for heart attacks.
Grateful we caught it, and that there are steps we can take to ensure a good quality of life for the rest of her time here with us

Update, labwork: the good news: most of her numbers look really really good
The meh news: Stage 1 kidney failure, manageable with diet for now
The not-so-good news: fairly bad heart murmur and heart numbers off the chart, we are referred to a specialist for further steps including meds and diet

Update, next morning: she is doing better!!
She spent the night on the bed with her human, getting up w water a few times. She greeted me with her usual Mrrp and bead butts, after which she followed me into the kitchen for breakfast which she ate!!! Fingers crossed for the labwork.

She is almost 14! Quite a feisty lady, too.
