There are some really great one-liners in 80s action movies, but it's a rare case where we get a set-up, a callback, a payoff, AND a coda.
The setup: Arnie tells Sully that since he's a funny guy, Arnie will kill him last. The callback: hanging Sully over a canyon Arnie reminds him that he promised to kill Sully last. The payoff. "I lied." and Arnie drops him down the cliff. It'd be a great action movie bit right there, but... ...we also get a coda, when Arnie gets back to Rae Dawn and she asks what he did with Sully. "I let him go." *chef kiss* of 80s cheese.
