So in a month's time I'm going to be cycling to Paris in 2 days to raise money for my daughters' school and a local special education needs charity that supports those with needs and their families (and we've known a few thriving the school who've been supported). (1/2)
Orleans Primary School - Pedal to Paris 2025
Pedalling to Paris is not going to be easy, it's 300km away and it's going to take dedication, effort and a few croissants too! All of the Pedal to Paris team are doing the challenge for their own rea

They should stop filming podcasts, the whole point is it's supposed to be an audio media, too many are unlistenable now because they have to describe what's going on for the audio listeners.

All schools should be state operated and secular with the roads system redesigned to allow kids to walk and cycle to their nearest school.

I don't mind paying more taxes because people less well off than me can't. But I do object to paying more because billionaires and corporations won't.

Not really a fess... more like a fact...
I am over 40, and I still don't understand how to eat a hard-shell taco. Either it disintegrates, the content falls out the far side as I bite, or I wind up with each mouthful only having one component instead of a balanced mix. Usually, all 3 of those happen.

Bank holidays would be much better if they were on Fridays. That way you could look forward to them all week rather than play catch up after missing the first day of the week

This is Persian New Year... the first day of Spring... the spring equinox, calculated based on the astronomical position of he earth around the sun... usually on 20th or 21st March. #nowruz
Christmas and New Year are too close together. If we were a proper society, we'd have New Year's Day on 1st March. It's the end of winter. The start of spring. And every 4 years we can all have a MASSIVE 2-day long New Year's Eve bender.

This should be enough for people to realise how stupid Brexit was. There are literally no benefits. Only harm... poor children are suffering from this...

I've started boycotting any business that bends the knee to Trump, no matter where they are based. It's a bit of a hassle to find alternatives or go without, but it's not fucking hard. It's a tiny bit of inconvenience. Fucking grow some spines and change your habits.

Private schools should be abolished. They're the biggest enabler of inequality we have. Put all the richest families kids together, with the best education and the best facilities so they can network from age 4. No wonder no one else stands a chance.

It's mind blowing that people can become leaders with zero training required. There should be some kind of minimum mandatory qualification run by the government. Become a team leader at work? You need it. Become an MP? You need it. Running a local 5-a-side team? You need it.

My fess is that I carry an old toy race-car in my pocket at all times. Whenever the work day gets to be too much, I secretly take it out for a vroom across my desk. It sounds crazy but it relieves stress and reminds me that the world is a load of bullshit. Everyone should try it.

The British public refuse to accept that it's cheaper to provide welfare than withdraw it. Fewer benefits result in increased crime and poorer public health, requiring increased resources for the police and NHS. Prevention is cheaper than the cure, it's that fucking simple.

We know that adding car lanes to roads just attracts more cars. We should now try the opposite: take away car lanes, widen pavements, add segregated cycle lanes. We'll find that bigger cars become less attractive and more people walk and cycle. Win for everyone.
