Think ordinary people don’t feel the claimed benefits directly. But, even the trivial downsides like waiting longer at passport control are felt. Or feeling stuff is more expensive since leaving (even if not 100% Brexit). Brexiters told a better story pre-Ref - post-Ref reality doesn’t match up.

Been driving for 25 years. 1 speeding ticket from a missed limit change on motorway heading into roadworks, early in my ‘driving career’. My fault. Took the fine. Didn’t whine like a baby (ok maybe for a few minutes lol) or feel bullied. Learnt my lesson, and changed my behaviour. Simple.
